Drawings

Drawing is really a form of modeling, tracing the construction process of building on an initial concept. Carried out through constructive gestures, each marking is an indicator of a particular move relating to the larger idea.

  • Collage

2.1a.jpgCollage for me frees up the constraints imposed by the use of a pen, which forces the use of a line to describe all.  Here paint, newspaper, pencil, wax and tape offer richer ways to consider volume, scale, color and contrast relationships within drawings.
